By downloading or using SnakkeHjelp, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SnakkeHjelp ("the App"), a Norwegian speaking practice application developed by Michael Joseph Redoble ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
SnakkeHjelp is an AI-assisted Norwegian language speaking practice application. It provides conversational practice dialogues to help users improve their spoken Norwegian. The App is currently in beta and distributed via Apple TestFlight.
The App is intended as a supplemental learning tool and does not replace formal language instruction or professional language assessment.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
The App is currently in beta testing. Beta software may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. We make no guarantees regarding the stability or availability of the App during the beta period. Features may change without notice.
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of language learning. You must not:
All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, audio, and software, is the property of the Developer or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
The App uses third-party AI services to process speech and generate conversational responses. These services are governed by their own terms of use and privacy policies. By using the App, you acknowledge that your voice input may be transmitted to third-party services for processing.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the App or by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.

The App integrates with third-party AI services to process speech and generate language practice content. Your voice input is transmitted to these services solely to fulfill your in-session requests. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Speech input processed during sessions is not retained by us beyond the session. Anonymous usage analytics may be retained for up to 12 months to support App improvement. You may request deletion of any retained data at any time (see Contact section).
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Norway or the EEA, including the United States, where third-party AI service providers operate. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law.

The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data through the App, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App requires access to your device microphone to enable speaking practice. Microphone access is only active during an active practice session and is not used for background monitoring. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device settings, though this will prevent core App functionality from working.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above or via a notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
